Statement

The request function is optional but permitted under the standards. It can be presented within the authorisation flow or elsewhere, at the data holder’s discretion. The purpose would be to allow non-nominated persons or secondary users without sharing rights to request access. This could alert the account owner(s) or administrator(s) of the steps required to grant sharing rights, leading them to the relevant services for managing secondary users or nominated representatives.
